    A Day in the Life

    Support the Portfolio and Financial Management Office Director in supporting the various governance boards and working groups associated with NGA portfolios and financial management. Serves as the lead integrator for support to the chair of the Portfolio Management Working Group (PIBWG). Interacts with Program Office, Engineering, Portfolio, Governance, CM and Financial Management personnel in drafting, coordinating, and finalizing agendas; and reviewing, coordinating and scheduling informational and decision briefs.

    Time Well Spent

    • Analyzes applicable programmatic, technical, schedule, and cost information to ensure insight into budgetary needs and potential shortfalls of projects and initiatives that are being presented for approval, as well as, to enable realistic trade-off decisions early in the budget process.
    • Documents Governance meetings and decisions as directed by the Portfolio and Financial Management Office Director or designated representatives.
    • Updates and maintains related documentation to include spreadsheets, cost sheets, trending topics, and any other governance-related information requested by the Portfolio and Financial Management Director or her designated representative.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).


    Qualified Candidate

    • Bachelor's Degree in business or finance.
    • Relevant experience in business, financial management, major systems acquisition, or system engineering.

    Exceptional Candidate

    • Working knowledge of ABISS and Configuration Management Wizard (CM Wizard).
    • Desired understanding of the NGA mission and organization structure, and broad knowledge of the National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG), NSG partners, Department of Defense and Intelligence Community (IC) intelligence oversight organizations, missions, and organizational priorities.
    • Understanding of NGA mission and NGA Systems Engineering, and Acquisition processes.
