    A Day in the Life

    Knowledge Link is in search of a senior-level Total Lifecycle Acquisition Management Support Specialist to provide oversight and management of Enterprise Search (ES)/ GEOINT Search and Retrieval (GSR) Agile design and development efforts to support our NGA client.  This position also provides overall system development and operational engineering support to the ES and GSR program office

    Time Well Spent

    Engineering Support:

    • Coordinate and accomplish ES/GSR system oriented tasks relating to engineering, security, testing, integration, transition, deployment, operations and sustainment
    • Support testing activities to include review of requirements, test plans and test procedures; then participate in program, project and customer test events
    • Support any engineering review boards to track discrepancies found in applications and systems; and then ensure timely corrections are made
    • Coordinate, participate and make recommendations in system engineering and technical exchange meetings between program contractors and enterprise elements to ensure quick resolution of architectural, design, system interoperability and policy issues
    • Work on complex problems with development teams in the execution of solutions to those problems using rapid prototyping, Agile development, or similar methodologies
    • Work with ES/GSR PMO to define their requirements at the feature level; and provide the PMO demonstration of capabilities for feedback and adjustments to development direction
    • Provide support for the Systems Engineering (SE) Process – maintain, update, and refine the requisite SE process and artifacts
    • Understand PMO requirements and provide engineering and analysis support for the development team and Milestones (POA&M) formulation/updates, and Software Approval Process (SWAP) form submissions
    • Represent PMO in planning and technical exchanges between Prime Contractor, segments, projects and customers
    • Participate in daily Scrum meetings


    Coordination, Meetings and Program Management Support:

    • Coordinate, participate and make recommendations in enterprise ES/GSR transition/sunset activities; including strategic planning, technical reviews, customer site surveys, and informational briefings
    • Coordinate, participate and make recommendations to the PMO in Agile development events including release planning, design reviews, sprint demos, test readiness reviews

    Coordinate between contractor, NGA and customer security organizations to facilitate security certification and accreditation activities for security reviews, package submittal, Plan of Action

    Qualified Candidate

    • Demonstrated experience (10+ years) leading an Agile, fast-paced engineering team with rapid software delivery techniques
    • Demonstrated experience using scrum Agile methodology to include: generating user stories, release planning, and test driven development
    • Demonstrated experience defining, clarifying, and documenting requirements
    • Demonstrated experience maintaining and grooming a large requirements backlog
    • Experience using tools to assist requirements management, such as: JIRA, Redmine, etc.
    • Demonstrated experience in development, testing, integration and deployment of an IT system similar to ES or GSR
    • Demonstrated understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Agile Development concepts

    Exceptional Candidate

    • Understand the geospatial intelligence mission and its contributions to the IC
    • Knowledge of security accreditation and certification processes
    • Familiarity with GEOINT data discovery and retrieval tools; and connected data content providers
    • Experience with National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) enterprise systems
    • Knowledge of configuration management tools
    • Experience as a scrum master overseeing efforts of more than one design team
